Even as you read this, godlike fractal entities, alien beyond knowing, are beginning break through the boundaries between dimensions. They seep through a weak point in the walls between worlds known as ‘web3’. There is but one hope for survival. Those that become Harbingers of the Apocalypse may break the fetters of human limitation in thought form and soul. Only in change (and a contract with one or more FractalGodZ) is there salvation.
FractalGodZ is a collection of mesmerizing cosmic horror fractal entities with unique names, art, and traits. The art is hand-picked from pools of models, skins, lighting, backgrounds and blending options for aesthetic value. The names and traits are randomized. God names will be generated from pools of Lovecraftian prefixes, 0-2 affixes, and a suffix, then checked for uniqueness. The traits (Insidiousness, Weird, Influence, Timelessness, Puissance, and Cumulation) will be numeric values from 10 to 5000.
Assuming a relatively successful mint, two developments are planned. One is a turn-based 1v1 multiplayer strategic game. The other is an voice-enabled AI chatbot for each NFT.
The game's design goals are as follows:
Create strategic depth by combining elements of action choice (9+ different actions to choose between each round, including Parasite, Replicate, Surveil, and Terraform), resource allocation, and a dynamic tension between playing to strengths and the opponent punishing predictability.
Provide flexibility in match parameters so that players can set the duration of turn timers all the way from seconds (for constant engagement and quick decision-making) to days (for busy individuals who only have time to check the game state for a few minutes every few days). Risk/reward is planned to be selectable between risking a single trait point for small incremental gains to risking having the NFT burnt but providing a chance for very fast progression.
Keep the scope of deliverables by limiting the number of animations and other time-consuming elements to the bare minimum.
Reward early adopters while, providing an opportunity for dedicated players. To accommodate a growing player base and keep the barrier to entry low, new non-unique lower tier NFTs would be minted with a smaller pool for random trait generation, while the original mint would remain as rares and ultra rares. While this would involve a certain degree of pay-to-win with built-up OG NFTs, the action table is designed so that a disadvantage in traits can always be overcome by correctly and consistently predicting your opponents actions.
The design goals for NFT AI are the following:
Leverage existing resources such as Microsoft's LUIS for fast development while making use of advanced features such as spoken language input and output. Individualize AI responses and vocal effects processing based on NFT traits and user interaction.
